The regional office of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) in Asia has announced that the "Final 8" of the Western Asia Super League for the 2023-2024 season will be hosted in the Qatari capital, Doha, from May 25 to June 1, 2024. This was previously revealed by Sign Sport last Wednesday. Six teams from the sub-regional leagues in FIBA have advanced to the Final 8, with Western Asia represented by Al-Riyadi Beirut, the champion of its region, and its runner-up, Shahrdari Gorgan from Iran, along with the third-placed team, Al-Hikma from Lebanon. From the Gulf region, Al-Kuwait, the regional champion, and its runner-up, Al-Manama from Bahrain, as well as the third-placed Al-Qadisiya from Kuwait, will participate. They will be joined by Astana from Kazakhstan (Central Asia) and Tamil Nadu from India (South Asia).

The eight teams will be divided into two groups of four teams each. After the group stage, the top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals, while the teams finishing third and fourth will be eliminated. The winners of the semifinals will then compete in the final. The two teams that qualify for the final will earn a spot in the inaugural edition of the Basketball Champions League Asia (BCL Asia), which will take place from June 9 to June 15, 2024, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
