Awaiting the Decision of the Abu Dhabi Court: What Do You Know About the

The State Security Chamber of the Abu Dhabi Federal Court of Appeal has scheduled the ruling in the case known as the "Justice and Dignity Terrorist Organization" for July 10. This ruling follows the court's decision to allow the defendants' lawyers to submit defense memoranda within 10 days.

During a session held yesterday, which was attended by several family members of the defendants as well as media representatives, the court listened to the defense attorneys' remarks and responses to the prosecution, who had provided supplemental memoranda addressing the prosecution's arguments regarding the defenses presented by the defendants. The public prosecution maintained its oral arguments, stating that it had delineated the crimes attributed to the defendants, which are distinct in nature and actions from those adjudicated in case number 79 of 2012, establishing a basis for multiple charges. The prosecution asserted that the defendants were not prosecuted for funding the terrorist organization.

The court also heard from the defendants themselves, accompanied by their attorneys, over a session that lasted nearly three hours. They contended that the charges against them were invalid and contended that the case could not be considered due to a prior ruling in the mentioned case, presenting this as a primary defense. They also questioned the evidence presented by the prosecution, which included investigations, technical, financial, and media reports. Subsequently, the court decided to reserve the case for a ruling on July 10.
