Today, Wednesday, the head of the "Free Patriotic Movement", Deputy Gibran Basil, sent a congratulatory message to the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, on assuming his position. Basil affirmed that "Lebanon and the United Kingdom share a rich history and mutual respect," noting that "there are great possibilities to strengthen ties through ongoing cooperation, in economic development, education, and cultural exchange." He pointed out that "Lebanon has gone through significant economic and political crises in recent years," hoping that the United Kingdom will continue to provide support and create more opportunities for cooperation, and contribute to increasing stability in the region, wishing Starmer success in his term and prosperity for the United Kingdom.
