Title: Patriarch Raï Calls for Prayers in Lebanese Churches

Maronite Patriarch Béchara Raï issued a call to the patriarchs, bishops, general superiors, and regional superiors, as well as members of the Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops in Lebanon. He stated that "as a result of our meeting with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Vatican, we have decided to issue this call: Prayers will be held in all our churches in Lebanon, the patriarchal territories, and countries of the diaspora on the weekend of June 29 and 30, for the end of the war in Gaza and southern Lebanon, and for the establishment of a just and comprehensive peace in both areas."
