The Saudi security authorities executed the death penalty in the Riyadh region for Abdulrahman Sayir Abdullah Al-Shammary (Saudi national). This action was based on information available to the security agencies, which arrested the individual for committing criminal acts involving treason against his country and adopting a terrorist ideology that permits the shedding of blood, seizing property, and violating honor. He had pledged allegiance to the leader of a terrorist organization, traveled to combat zones, joined a terrorist entity, held a leadership position within it, participated in its combat activities, and financed terrorism and terrorist acts.
The investigation by the Public Prosecution concluded with accusations against him for committing these criminal acts, and he was referred to the specialized criminal court where a verdict was issued confirming his conviction and sentencing him to death. This ruling was upheld by the specialized criminal appellate court and the Supreme Court, and the execution of the death penalty was carried out. The Ministry of Interior announces this to reaffirm its commitment to maintaining security, achieving justice, and thwarting anyone who attempts to undermine national security or jeopardize its unity, indicating that the prescribed punishment will be the fate of anyone who dares to commit such acts, thereby preventing harm and deterring others.
