The Vice President of the UAE and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai, has issued Decree No. (35) of 2024 to form the "Dubai Council," chaired by His Highness, with the membership of Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the First Vice President, and Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Second Vice President. The council includes Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, and Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The membership also comprises Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi as a member and Secretary-General of the council, along with members Talal Hamid Belhoul, Abdullah Mohammed Al Basti, Abdullah Khalifa Al Merri, Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, and Hala Saeed Al Merri. This decree will take effect from the date of its issuance and will be published in the official gazette. The objectives of the "Dubai Council," as stated in its founding law No. (21) of 2021, focus on anticipating and developing the future developmental agenda of the emirate to ensure its competitiveness, leadership, and global appeal, through the launch and adoption of major qualitative projects and transformative and unconventional initiatives, aimed at achieving developmental leaps that contribute to providing a better life for the emirate's citizens, residents, and visitors.
