Saudi Arabia Signs Largest Deal in Its Aviation History

The Saudi Group announced the largest deal in the history of Saudi aviation with Airbus, totaling 105 aircraft for both Saudia Airlines and Flyadeal. This was revealed by the group’s Director General, Ibrahim Al-Omar, during the opening session of the Future of Aviation Forum held in Riyadh today. He confirmed that the first aircraft will be delivered in the first quarter of 2026, in addition to new AAA aircraft set to be received over the next five years. The conference commenced today with the participation of over 5,000 aviation industry experts from around the world, global airline leaders, and aviation authority officials from the participating countries. It will address issues related to the global aviation sector, air transportation, the development of environmental sustainability in civil aviation, and the empowerment of advanced air transport. Discussions will focus on enhancing global connectivity and supporting the targets of the National Aviation Strategy aimed at transforming Saudi Arabia into a leading logistics hub in the Middle East and providing an attractive investment environment in this vital sector.
