Floods and Landslides: 193 People Killed in India

A total of 193 people have died due to floods, landslides, and other incidents related to heavy rainfall that has affected the states of Assam, Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh in recent days in India. Indian media reported that floods and landslides caused by continuous rainfall in Assam, located in northeastern India, resulted in the deaths of 106 people, while Uttar Pradesh recorded 65 fatalities and Himachal Pradesh 22 deaths due to rain-related incidents. The Assam Disaster Management Authority indicated that over 1.2 million people have been affected in 23 districts of the state due to the floods and landslides.
