A large fire broke out in the Al-Shorja area in central Baghdad, the second within 24 hours. The Baghdad Operations Commander directed the dispatch of firefighting vehicles to control the blaze and requested support from water tankers from the Ministries of Interior and Defense. The Al-Shorja fire is spreading, and firefighting teams continue their extinguishing operations.
It is worth mentioning that earlier on Tuesday, a fire erupted in warehouses in the Boub al-Sham commercial area to the north of Baghdad, according to a statement from the Baghdad Operations Command.
