The "Sawa News" site reported, citing the Israeli newspaper "Israel Hayom," that the Israeli Security Agency (Shabak) managed to arrest members of a cell, three from Kafr Qasim and one from the city of Lod, involved in arms smuggling and linked to the Lebanese organization "Hezbollah." Shabak claimed that during July, four citizens from Kafr Qasim were arrested on suspicion of receiving "a large quantity of advanced weapons," and that two Iranian-manufactured explosive devices and other weapons were found in their possession. An indictment was filed against them in the central court for firearms offenses. A statement from Shabak added that during a raid by Shabak agents, along with forces from the special central police unit and the border guard unit in Lod, additional citizens were arrested who attempted to use one of the explosive devices "for criminal purposes."
