The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced today, Saturday, that "an explosion occurred in the city of Deir ez-Zor, caused by a car bomb laden with explosives in the Al-Qusour neighborhood, near the Al-Fath Mosque and the Iranian cultural center." According to the observatory, the car belonged to groups loyal to Tehran, and the explosion killed "two fighters who were inside, in addition to causing injuries." The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights noted that "the regime forces and Iranian-affiliated groups imposed a security cordon around the explosion site."
