Notification to All Illegal Syrian Residents in Beit Shlala to Leave Immediately

The Governor of North Lebanon, Judge Ramzi Nohra, issued a decision requesting the regional director of state security in the north to take necessary measures to inform all Syrians residing illegally in Beit Shlala - Batroun to leave immediately. This comes following a letter from the municipality to the governor, requesting approval for security assistance to evacuate buildings from illegal Syrian residents after they exceeded the designated time to obtain the necessary residency permits and documents. The text of the decision states: "Dear Regional Director of State Security in the North, please take note and instruct the necessary parties to inform all Syrians residing in Beit Shlala - Batroun, who do not possess valid legal residency issued by the Lebanese General Security, to leave the town within a maximum period of fifteen days from the date of notification, in accordance with the memorandum from the Municipality of Beit Shlala number 224/41 dated 29/04/2024, and the request for security assistance from the municipality. In case of refusal to vacate, the rented houses occupied by illegal Syrians should be sealed with red tape and reported."
