Meta has added a new feature to the WhatsApp application that allows users to create two accounts on one phone and switch between them easily. From now on, you will not need to use an additional device or log out of your account constantly to use two different accounts on WhatsApp. This new feature simplifies managing conversations across multiple accounts, allowing you to create a WhatsApp account for work and another for messaging friends and family.
Creating two accounts on the WhatsApp application on one phone requires two separate phone numbers and a SIM card or a phone that accepts multiple SIM cards or eSIM. You also need a second phone to receive the one-time password sent by WhatsApp via SMS to access your second account on a different device. Once you add a new account, you can easily switch between them to access chats, communities, and calls related to each account.
To create a second account on WhatsApp, you can add a completely new number or add a number you use on another phone. Before you start creating the account, it’s important to know that you should not remove the existing account on the other device before adding it to the new device, as WhatsApp will send the verification code to the other device.
To start creating a second account, follow these steps:
* Go to the WhatsApp application on your Android phone.
* Click the three-dot menu button in the upper right corner, then select Settings.
* Click the arrow in the upper right corner next to your profile picture and phone number.
* Click the Add Account option.
A screen for adding a new account will appear. After accepting the terms of service, select your country and add your phone number. After verifying your phone number, a message will appear asking if you would like to backup or transfer content from an old phone, or you will go directly to the personal account information screen to set up your new account.
