A security source in Dhi Qar, southern Iraq, reported on Sunday that a fire broke out at the "Imam Ali" airbase south of the city of Nasiriyah, the capital of the province. The source told Shafaq News Agency that "a large fire destroyed 10 caravans at the airbase used for water purification (RO) due to an electrical short circuit inside those caravans as a result of rising temperatures." The source added that "civil defense teams within the base managed to extinguish the fire without any reported human injuries, except for material damage."
