Belgian Chief of Staff Michel Hofman announced that his country will begin supplying Ukraine with F-16 fighters by the end of the year, provided that Belgium receives F-35 fighters from the United States on time. Hofman stated, "There are two factors affecting the deliveries: the receipt of spare parts that will ensure the operational readiness of the F-16 fighters, as well as the receipt of the F-35 fighters." He added, "The first F-35 will arrive in Belgium in the summer of 2025. Belgium has already contributed to enhancing Ukraine's capacity to use F-16 fighters by sending trainers and technical specialists to Denmark."
