French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed today, Wednesday, that the "systematic delays" in implementing the two-state solution and establishing a Palestinian state must stop. The Élysée Palace stated in a release following a phone conversation between President Macron and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas that Macron "emphasized France's commitment to working with its European and Arab partners toward a common vision for peace that provides security guarantees for both Palestinians and Israelis." He added that this process should be followed by "a vision for the recognition of the Palestinian state in a constructive dynamic."
