Israeli emergency services announced that they are dealing with a series of fires that broke out in northern Israel on Friday, following the launch of dozens of rockets from southern Lebanon targeting the area around the border town of Kiryat Shmona. The Israeli army reported that sirens sounded in northern Israel. Emergency services stated that teams patrolling the area reported material damage but no casualties. Hezbollah's military media, in a statement, confirmed that its members shelled the Kiryat Shmona and Kfar Sarda settlements with dozens of Katyusha and Fajr rockets. Six anti-tank missiles were fired at the Metula settlement, with three homes directly hit, an old empty bus set on fire, and a large fire broke out in the area, confirming that no injuries occurred.
