British media is discussing the possibilities of King Charles III's death, despite no clear reasons for concern. Buckingham Palace has stated that the king's treatment is proceeding as usual and there is no threat to his life. Nevertheless, experts indicate that King Charles has decided to prepare in advance for transferring the throne to the heir, and British authorities have already put a plan into action regarding this matter. The newspaper "Daily Express" has named the codename for the operation that will be executed in Britain upon the death of King Charles III as "Operation Menai Bridge." The "Independent" reports that the country's authorities began preparing to implement it in September 2022, shortly after the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. According to the plan, the British Prime Minister and some government officials will be the first to learn of Charles III's death. The incident will then be reported by the BBC, followed by other media outlets. The throne will immediately pass to Charles III's eldest son, Prince William, with his wife Kate Middleton expected to receive the title of queen consort. After the announcement of Charles III's death, Prince William will address the nation as the new monarch, and a period of mourning will be declared in the country. Similar plans had been drawn up for Charles III's predecessors; "Operation Tay Bridge" was intended for his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, but the plan was previously used following the unexpected death of Princess Diana. The measures taken in the event of the death of Elizabeth II's husband, Prince Philip, were named "Operation Fourth Bridge." Furthermore, "Operation London Bridge" was prepared for Queen Elizabeth herself, but this plan was never utilized, as the queen passed away in Scotland, and instead, "Operation Unicorn" was implemented.
