The Israeli website "Walla" revealed that the army is facing a shortage of soldiers and fighters, prompting the Israeli military to promote the establishment of a new light brigade composed of retirees and volunteers, including "Haredim." The Israeli site stated that due to the lack of fighters to carry out various security tasks, the Israeli army has started promoting the creation of a new light brigade called the 96th Brigade, "David Brigade."
"Walla" added that the new "David Brigade" will consist of fighters and female fighters who have reached exemption age, along with volunteers, including Haredim. The site indicated that the potential number of fighters integrated into the "David Brigade" would be around 40,000 fighters. It was also noted that reserve Major Moti Baruch has been selected for the task of establishing the brigade, who previously held the position of Commander of the Training Command and Chief of Staff in the Israeli army, as well as other positions.
