The Al-Suq al-Shuyukh police department in Iraq clarified today, Friday, the reasons behind the explosion at Al-Suq al-Shuyukh Hospital, confirming that two individuals were injured as a result of the cylinder explosion. The department stated that "the incident occurred due to the explosion of a device used to transfer oxygen from large cylinders to small oxygen cylinders within Al-Suq al-Shuyukh General Hospital," noting that "the incident resulted in the injury of two oxygen transport workers with burns, both of whom are service employees at the hospital and specialized in handling oxygen cylinders." It was indicated that "legal measures have been taken by the civil defense, forensic evidence teams, Al-Ghadir police station, and the Al-Suq al-Shuyukh police department."
