The Military Intelligence Directorate announced the arrest of a terrorist leader known as "Al-Khansaa" in the Nineveh Governorate. A statement from the directorate mentioned that "through a specialized intelligence operation, significant and distinguished efforts, and relying on precise intelligence information from the 16th Division Intelligence Department, in cooperation with the intelligence and forces of the 75th Brigade, a carefully executed ambush led to the arrest of the terrorist nicknamed 'Al-Khansaa', who is wanted by the judiciary under Article (4/Terrorism) in the Shoura district of Nineveh."
The statement clarified that "the terrorist's children, the eldest of whom had worked with what is known as Al-Qaeda in 2004 and was killed in 2005 by our security forces, while the middle one detonated himself in 2005 during a terrorist operation, and the youngest participated in the battles of Mosul and escaped to an unknown location but was later arrested and tried."
It was pointed out that "this terrorist has close connections with ISIS gangs and regularly meets with terrorist leaders, inciting the killing of brave security forces and collaborators. She was also responsible for recruiting women into ISIS, and just days before liberation, she fled to an unknown location. Following continuous surveillance by the Military Intelligence Directorate, she was captured in the Shoura district."
The statement concluded, "She has been formally handed over to the relevant authorities after the necessary procedures were completed against her."
