Title: Mansouri: It's Time for the Banking Sector to Revive Lending

The Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, Wassim Mansouri, pointed out today, Tuesday, that "since the beginning of the crisis until today, the economy has contracted, with national income dropping from about 55 billion to less than 20 billion dollars, and the Lebanese pound has lost about 98% of its value." In his speech at the second real estate forum in Lebanon, he stated: "It is time for the banking sector to revive lending, as this sector is the main driver of growth." Mansouri highlighted the need to work on enacting reform laws and addressing the issue of depositors.
