Minister of Public Works in the caretaker government, Ali Hamieh, announced that "96 shared buses will operate in all Lebanese regions within three months." During a press conference while touring the railway and shared transport facility in Mar Mikhael, with the attendance of several stakeholders, he stated that "the experiment is modest, hoping it will be generalized to other sectors, discussing the buses and their specifications." Hamieh confirmed that "the buses are owned by the Lebanese state and will be operated by the private sector. They feature modern specifications in terms of technology, including cameras for the driver and passengers, as well as GPS to track the bus's location. There will be a central control room to manage all the buses, and an application for the buses will be available to check their schedules. Payment can be electronic or prepaid through recharge cards."
