Israeli Defense Minister: "Wherever Hezbollah is, we will pursue them"

Israeli Defense Minister:

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant conducted a situation assessment at the Northern Command today, Friday. Gallant stated: "Today, I arrived at the Northern Command to closely examine another successful thwarting, like what happened this morning against a commander in Hezbollah. The results from the Northern Command are extremely impressive, and the campaign is being conducted at a very high level." He added: "We are transitioning from a defensive phase to pursuing Hezbollah. Wherever Hezbollah is, we will go, including Beirut, Baalbek, Tyre, Sidon, Nabatiyeh, and the entire sector, and this also applies to much further places like Damascus and others, wherever we need to move... we will move."

He pointed out that "the party responsible for the severe damage in Lebanon is Hezbollah, and the party responsible for the many casualties within Hezbollah is Nasrallah himself, and they will pay the price for any action that comes out of Lebanon. We will increase the pace of the campaign and expand it. This is what I said this week in Washington to Secretary of Defense Austin, and this is what I told Special Envoy Amos Hochstein and others."

Earlier today, the Israeli army announced that an Israeli drone strike targeting the Al-Bazourieh and Wadi Jilo road in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon resulted in the death of the deputy commander of Hezbollah's missile and shells unit.
