Two officials from the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) revealed today, Sunday, that the movement is waiting for an Israeli response to its proposal for a ceasefire, following five days after it accepted a key part of an American plan aimed at ending the nine-month-long war in the Gaza Strip. One of the Hamas officials stated, "We left our response with the mediators and are waiting to hear the occupier's reply." Another Palestinian official, familiar with the ongoing discussions regarding the ceasefire, reported that there are talks with Israel through Qatari mediators.
