Saudi club Al-Ittihad has begun taking significant steps in negotiations to contract with Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne, a player from Manchester City. Over the past period, De Bruyne has been a target for Saudi league clubs, and Al-Ittihad seems particularly keen on bringing the talented playmaker this summer.
According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, who specializes in transfer news, there has been a verbal agreement between the two parties from recent negotiations. He added via his account on "X" that a delegation from the Saudi Investment Fund, along with some representatives from Al-Ittihad, spoke to De Bruyne, and the player expressed preliminary approval of the deal.
The same source indicated that the situation now depends on Manchester City's approval, as the English club is open to the idea of the player leaving this summer. De Bruyne's contract with City ends at the end of next season, and the 33-year-old player played 26 matches last season, scoring 6 goals and assisting 18 others.
