Mahdi al-Mashat, the head of the Supreme Political Council in Yemen affiliated with "Ansar Allah," asserted that "Sanaa is ready to address any concerns of Riyadh as much as Saudi Arabia is ready to address Sanaa's concerns," emphasizing that "Sanaa will only be a source of goodness and peace to its surroundings, neighbors, and the countries of its nation."
In a press conference, he noted that "the discussions of our national delegation in Riyadh were described as positive, and we are pleased with what the delegation conveyed about the Saudi leadership as the leadership of the coalition we have been engaged with in a brutal war since 2015."
Al-Mashat stated: "What our delegation conveyed about the Saudi leadership, theoretically, is certainly considered positive messages and confirmations, and we welcome them on the condition that swift action is taken to implement them." Regarding peace efforts, he added: "I had prepared a completely different speech than this one, but I postponed it at the last moment, and I hope not to have to return to it on any upcoming occasion."
