The new Israeli Navy landing ship INS Komemiyut has arrived at the port of Tangier, Morocco, to resupply on its voyage from the United States to Israel. According to the Israeli newspaper Globes, "supplies and equipment were transferred to the ship in Tangier, the busiest port in Africa, located south of the Strait of Gibraltar, and at this stage of the journey, the ship has stopped its location transponder." It is noteworthy that the first two landing ships purchased by Israel, which arrived in Haifa last September, also docked on their way to Morocco. The newspaper indicated that "the landing boats on this ship are designed to disembark troops quickly onto the shore, measuring approximately 95 meters in length, 20 meters in width, and weighing over 2,500 tons." The crew of the landing ship consists of dozens of combat sailors, a quarter of whom are female, and the ship is commanded by a First Lieutenant.
