Kuwait Petroleum Corporation announced today, Sunday, a major oil discovery in the Al-Nukhada field east of the Kuwaiti island of Failaka, with oil reserves estimated at around 3.2 billion barrels. The CEO of the corporation, Sheikh Nawaf Saud Nasser Al-Sabah, stated in a video clip published by the company on the social media platform X that "the reserves of this new discovery equal the total production of the country over three years."
