The statement read: "We are dealing with a serious incident at the military training area in Lipava, where a quantity of ammunition exploded." It continued: "Unfortunately, there are injuries at the scene; we are trying to provide assistance as quickly as possible, and a helicopter has intervened to rescue the injured." The statement confirmed that the Czech military police took charge of the incident. The spokesperson for the regional rescue service in Olomouc, Petrislav Polard, stated: "We have a rescue team on site, and there is an air rescue service from another area at the scene, but we cannot provide further information," according to the Czech newspaper "novinky."
