A rocket fired from the Gaza Strip landed in an open area in Kiryat Malachi, located 30 kilometers from Gaza, on Thursday afternoon. The Israeli army indicated that "the rocket targeting Kiryat Malachi was launched from southern Gaza and fell in an open area." Sirens sounded in Kiryat Malachi and other areas near the Israeli city of Ashdod.
