Huge Fire Breaks Out on Cargo Ship in India (Video)

A massive fire erupted on the cargo ship "MV Merk Frankfurt" off the coast of Goa in southwestern India, as the Indian Coast Guard continues its efforts to control the blaze. According to the "Indian Express," the large fire occurred on the container ship approximately 102 nautical miles southwest of Goa, causing explosions in the front part of the ship on Friday evening. The vessel was en route from Mundra Port in Gujarat to Colombo in Sri Lanka. The Coast Guard stated that "firefighting efforts are underway to prevent an environmental disaster and ensure the safety of the ship and crew."
