Iraqi Factions Threaten to Target Oil Pipeline to Jordan

This came after a meeting of Iraqi factions supported by Iran, calling themselves the "Coordination of Iraqi Resistance," to discuss Israel's threats of a comprehensive war against Lebanon and Hezbollah. The statement indicated that the pace and nature of operations would escalate against U.S. interests in Iraq and the region, which would become legitimate targets for resistance elements. It further added that the Aqaba-Basra oil pipeline drains Iraq of substantial amounts without economic benefit, noting that it is a project paving the way for normalizing relations between Iraq and Israel.
