Israel has requested the evacuation of the Al-Rantisi Children's Hospital in preparation for bombardment. In this context, the Israeli Defense Minister stated: "There are no restrictions or limits on our soldiers in Gaza regarding the use of force," adding: "We have many days of fighting ahead, and the resolution of the operation against Hamas will take time." He continued: "We will strike Hamas leaders in tunnels and trenches and will not allow the organization to recover."
Earlier, the Israeli army announced that it had taken control of a Hamas stronghold in northern Gaza. The army stated in a communiqué that ground forces managed to seize the site in northern Gaza, finding anti-tank rocket launchers, rockets, various weapons, and intelligence materials.
The army also announced the targeting of objectives using naval forces, which included sites related to technological means. The army said it targeted several militants who had fortified themselves in a building near Al-Quds Hospital and were planning to launch an attack against Israeli forces.
As the second month began, Gaza experienced heavy artillery and aerial bombardment from early morning, alongside fierce clashes and street warfare between Israeli soldiers and Hamas fighters, with the most intense battles occurring in northern Gaza, where the besieged city of Gaza is located. Israeli tanks were positioned near Abu Hasira roundabout close to Al-Shifa complex in central Gaza, while alarm sirens sounded in the areas surrounding Gaza.
