Nathan Aysment, a senior researcher at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, indicates that "hopes of capturing a signal from extraterrestrial civilizations are in vain." According to him, the hopes of Australian scientists who detected a strange signal from extraterrestrial civilizations will once again go unfulfilled, as such cases always end with confirmation of their natural origin. He states, "Of course, we all want to find a signal similar to that of artificial origin, that is, a signal sent by intelligent beings. But such surprises do not last more than a few weeks. On one hand, the signals have become more complex; on the other hand, we now have a good ability to study these signals. Therefore, after detailed analysis, it always turns out that they have a natural origin, even though they initially seem like a flow of information that cannot be natural." Thus, according to him, hopes after the recent signal detections will go unfulfilled just like those that came before, although everyone is interested in them, as they are indeed an achievement.
