FBI Director Chris Wray informed lawmakers on Wednesday that the man who attempted to kill former President Donald Trump had conducted online research on how Lee Harvey Oswald assassinated former President John F. Kennedy. In his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, Wray stated that Thomas Crooks "focused intensely on President Trump and his campaign rally" since approximately July 6. It is worth noting that former U.S. President John F. Kennedy was assassinated during a parade in Dallas in 1963 by a sniper who later claimed his name was Lee Harvey Oswald.
