Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, announced that the Kiev regime planned an attempt on the life of Russian President Vladimir Putin, with direct participation and funding from the West. Zakharova stated in a press briefing today, Thursday: "We have taken note of what the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Kirill Budanov, revealed. He admitted in an interview with a Ukrainian newspaper on July 13 about failed attempts to assassinate the Russian president." She added, "There is no doubt that such crimes were planned and financed with the direct involvement of the masters of the Kiev regime from the West," according to the TASS news agency. In this regard, she confirmed that the collective West "thus becomes a partner in the criminal activities of the Kiev regime." Zakharova pointed out that "not a single brutal or terrorist act against civilians or against government officials has been condemned during this time by Western countries either individually or collectively." Previously, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Moscow is taking all necessary measures to ensure the security and safety of President Vladimir Putin in light of rising global tensions.
