The Secretary-General of the Higher Relief Committee, Lieutenant General Muhammad Khair, expressed that "the signing of the agreement between the Higher Relief Committee and the 'King Salman Center' is a genuine expression of the deep fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Lebanon. These benevolences from the Kingdom, offered by His Majesty King Salman and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed, are exemplified in Lebanon through the humanitarian and fraternal efforts of His Excellency Ambassador Walid Bukhari." He confirmed in a statement that "this agreement and the Saudi benevolence are not the first and will not be the last in the long series of assistance to the Lebanese government and people during the difficult times Lebanon is going through." Khair concluded by thanking "the King, the Crown Prince, and Ambassador Bukhari for their contributions and love for Lebanon, and Prime Minister Najib Mikati for his commitment and dedication to affirming the depth of Lebanon's Arab identity, particularly its fraternal relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."
