# U.S. Central Command: Destruction of Houthi Radar Site in Yemen

The U.S. Central Command, CENTCOM, reported that the U.S. military successfully destroyed a radar site belonging to the Houthi rebel militia in Yemen. In a statement, CENTCOM said, "In the past 24 hours, U.S. Central Command forces successfully destroyed a radar site operated by the Houthis in an area controlled by the Houthis in Yemen." The statement added, "It was determined that the Houthi radar site poses an imminent threat to the United States, coalition forces, and commercial shipping in the region. This action was taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer for U.S. and coalition ships and commercial vessels."

Houthi Attack on Haifa Port

The Houthi group announced on Wednesday that it targeted a ship in the Israeli port of Haifa in collaboration with Iraqi militias. Yahya Sari, the military spokesperson for the Houthi group, stated that the operation targeted the ship (MSC Manzanillo) in Haifa port. This attack marks the second operation by the group in three days, as the Houthis declared on Monday that they had carried out a joint military operation with a group calling itself the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, targeting four ships in the Israeli port of Haifa.
