Eleventh Warehouse: 22 Stolen Motorcycles Seized in the Southern Suburb

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced that "as part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to reduce motorcycle thefts in various Lebanese regions, particularly in the southern suburb area, on April 17, 2024, information was received by the Southern Suburb Detachment regarding the presence of several stolen motorcycles inside a warehouse in Burj Barajneh / Al-Joura neighborhood.

Consequently, a force from the Detachment, under the command of the Burj Barajneh Police Station Commander, raided the warehouse and managed to arrest its owner, identified as M.Y. (born in 1980, Lebanese). Upon searching the location, /16/ motorcycles were seized, in addition to /6/ others found in a hidden stash. It was also revealed that there were search and seizure warrants for /5/ of these motorcycles related to theft crimes. An investigation is underway under the supervision of the competent judiciary.

Therefore, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces requests individuals who have experienced motorcycle thefts but have not filed complaints with the competent authorities and have seen pictures of their stolen motorcycles, to visit the Burj Barajneh Police Station located in Al-Mirijeh Square and bring the necessary official documents proving their ownership, or to call the number 466383-01 in preparation for taking the necessary measures."
