Canada renewed its call today, Tuesday, for its citizens to leave Lebanon, stating that the security situation in the country has become increasingly unstable and unpredictable due to the conflict between Israel and the Iranian-backed Lebanese Hezbollah. Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly said in a statement: "My message to Canadians has been clear since the beginning of the crisis in the Middle East: this is not the time to travel to Lebanon. For Canadians currently in Lebanon, it is time to leave while commercial flights are still available."
