U.S. President Joe Biden announced that he is "proud to be the first black woman to serve with a black president," in a new slip of the tongue during the Independence Day celebration. Biden confused himself with Vice President Kamala Harris, saying, "By the way, I am proud to be, as I said, the first vice president, and the first black woman... serving with a black president," seemingly mixing the present and the past when he was vice president to Barack Obama.
Earlier in the interview on the "Ingram Angle" program, which targets black listeners in Wisconsin and is also broadcast nationwide, Biden correctly spoke about Harris's appointment and the first black woman on the Supreme Court, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.
