Steve Stich, Director of Commercial Crew Programs at NASA, announced that the crewed Starliner spacecraft from Boeing will not return to Earth before June 26. He stated, "I would like to talk about the return timing; according to our plan, the spacecraft cannot return before June 26. Therefore, we decided to delay it from June 22, as we want to give our teams more time to analyze the available information and ensure we are ready." According to him, the spacecraft will land at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico on June 26. Originally, the CST-100 Starliner was scheduled to return on June 18 after astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams spent eight days at the International Space Station, but the return date was postponed to June 22 for technical reasons. Kenneth Bowersox, NASA's Human Spaceflight Program Director, noted in a press conference after the launch of the crewed Starliner that "the U.S. space agency is discussing with Roscosmos the inclusion of the CST-100 Starliner in the joint flight program."
