Syria's presidential advisor Luna Al-Shibl suffered a very serious injury after being involved in a car accident in the Syrian capital, Damascus, which resulted in severe brain hemorrhaging, amid reports of a possible assassination attempt. According to available information, an armored vehicle with front supports hit the car that Al-Shibl was traveling in with one of her escorts from behind, pushing it into the middle of the road at around 3:30 PM local time. There were rumors of her death, but media sources confirmed that she is still alive and is in critical condition at Al-Shami Hospital, after initially being rushed to a clinic in the Yafour area. It is worth noting that Al-Shibl is subject to American and British sanctions.
