The UEFA revealed today the new ranking of clubs in Europe based on their performances in continental competitions in recent seasons. Topping the ranking is English club Manchester City, followed by Spanish club Real Madrid, the defending Champions League winner, in second place, while German club Bayern Munich occupies third place.
In fourth place is English club Liverpool, followed by Italian club Roma in fifth, French club Paris Saint-Germain in sixth, and Spanish club Villarreal in seventh. German club Borussia Dortmund, English club Chelsea, and Italian club Inter Milan complete the top ten clubs in the ranking.
German league champion Bayer Leverkusen sits at 11th place, followed by Porto at 12th. Notable clubs outside the top ten include Manchester United in 14th, Benfica in 15th, Atlético Madrid in 17th, Barcelona in 18th, and Arsenal in 19th.
Italian club Atalanta, last season’s Europa League champion, is ranked 20th, surpassing clubs like Napoli, Milan, and Juventus which are in 21st, 22nd, and 23rd places respectively, while Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam and Feyenoord occupy the 26th and 27th positions.
