An explosion occurred today, Monday, due to a gas leak in a shopping center in the town of Apsheronsk, part of the city of Kuban in the Krasnodar region of southwestern Russia, resulting in several injuries. The shopping center on Voroshilov Street was almost completely destroyed, according to eyewitness reports.
Kuban Governor Vyacheslav Kondratyev stated, "Rescue teams are continuing to remove debris following the explosion at the shopping center in Apsheronsk due to a gas leak." The explosion caused structural collapse of approximately 100 square meters, leading to a significant fire covering an area of 30 meters that has been completely extinguished. Three individuals were injured, and one person was rescued from under the rubble.
