Arrested Red-handed in Ain al-Rammaneh: Here's What He Was Doing

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced the following statement:

As part of the internal security forces' efforts to curb drug trafficking and promotion in various regions of Lebanon, information was gathered regarding an unknown individual promoting drugs on a motorcycle in several areas of Mount Lebanon.

As a result of investigations and inquiries, the Information Branch was able to identify him as: - S. D. (born in 1986, Syrian) who is wanted by the judiciary.

On June 26, 2024, after careful monitoring, one of the division's patrols arrested him red-handed in Ain al-Rammaneh while he was promoting drugs on a motorcycle of the "Haojo" model without plates, which turned out to be stolen and was seized. Upon searching him and the motorcycle, the following items were found:

- /10/ plastic capsules marked VIP containing approximately /4/ grams of cocaine each

- /4/ plastic capsules containing approximately /3.8/ grams of hashish each

- /3/ plastic capsules containing approximately /4.5/ grams of cocaine each

- A forged identity card with his personal photo, a sum of money, and a mobile phone.

During interrogation, he confessed to the charges against him regarding drug promotion on behalf of a dealer using the motorcycle he was arrested on in several areas of Mount Lebanon, including: Doura, Bourj Hammoud, and Ain al-Rammaneh, in exchange for /50/ US dollars for each day of work. He also admitted to having forged the card with the help of someone in the town of Brital.

Legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred along with the seized items to the relevant authorities based on the judiciary's instructions.
