The Secretary-General of "Hezbollah," Sayyed Hassan Nassrallah, congratulated the newly elected president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Bezhakian, in a statement today, Saturday. He said: "I congratulate you on this blessed election by the dear and honorable Iranian people, and I ask God to protect you, assist you, guide you, and grant you success in fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of this sacrificing and loyal nation."
He continued: "We in Hezbollah and in all resistance movements in the region, as part of its peoples who have been engaged for many years in an open confrontation with the forces of Zionist occupation and the American hegemony project, always look to the Islamic Republic of Iran as a strong, stable, and lasting support for the resistors and the oppressed, since the victory of the Islamic Revolution led by the revered Imam Khomeini and continuing with the leadership of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei, as well as with the successive governments in the Islamic Republic."
Nassrallah added: "With your leadership, we will continue this path, God willing, until achieving the final victory, which will be primarily based on a strong, proud, and capable Islamic Iran."
He concluded: "I ask God to grant you strength, health, well-being, and safety, and to accomplish through your hands what brings joy to the believers and the oppressed, God willing."
