French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed that his country does not intend to send troops to participate in combat on Ukrainian territory in the near future. Speaking as a guest on the podcast "Generation Do it Youtself" with media personality Matthieu Stéphanie, Macron stated, "I want to reassure you, I do not believe that the war will come to our lands, and we will not participate tomorrow in combat on Ukrainian territory... I want to confirm that to you." He acknowledged understanding the fears of those who "are worried that the conflict may extend to France."
In an interview with the British magazine "The Economist," Macron was asked if he still believed in the idea of sending troops to Ukraine, to which he replied, "Certainly," noting that Paris would need to raise and discuss this issue if Russia breaches the frontline and if such a request comes from Ukraine. Regarding the French interior, Macron stated, "Far-right programs will lead to a civil war."
