The New Egyptian Government: Ministerial Restructuring and Radical Changes

A government source has announced that the new government in Egypt is set to take the constitutional oath following the Eid al-Adha holiday. Egyptian sources revealed in statements to "Al-Arabiya.net" that the new government will include elite specialists and experienced professionals, including university professors and heads of universities. It was added that consultations for forming the government are still ongoing and have not yet concluded.

Furthermore, it was noted that new ministers have not yet been informed of their appointments. The Cabinet is considering the possibility of administering the oath of office for the ministers in front of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in the New Administrative Capital.

The sources indicated that there is a trend towards appointing one or more deputy prime ministers, alongside discussions about establishing two new ministries: one for energy and the other for the economy, with changes expected to include between 16 to 18 ministers. It was also mentioned that an announcement regarding the governors' reshuffle will follow shortly after the new government's announcement.

The sources noted that one ministry will be split into two separate ministries, and it is likely that several ministers and their deputies will come from the ranks of the National Coalition for Civil Development Work, the Youth Political Parties Coordination, and the Youth Presidential Program. Additionally, four members of the House of Representatives have been nominated for ministerial positions in the new government, including two heads of parliamentary committees.
